Botica by Chef Mimmo is an advanced and powerful bodega that serves highly specialised cuisine inspired by the flavours of Mexico and Spain. Chef Mimmo Alboumeh, who brought up in Lebanon, Italy, and Spain, began his culinary professional life more than 20 years ago in Mexican restaurants, introducing with him the cultural impact and cooking of his upbringing. The menu at Botica Atlanta is inspired by street tacos and Chef Mimmo’s distinct hybrid cuisine. It also serves bottomless mimosas on Saturday and Sunday lunch or dinner.

Botica Atlanta features in-house smoked sausages, freshly made dressings, salsas, and sauces, as well as a menu created from scratch. Handcrafted cocktails made with premium spirits and fresh foods. Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mimmo’s signature savoury dishes and bottomless Mimosas are served.

Botica’s enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere, equated with Chef Mimmo’s distinct brand, features 40 high definition flat screen TVs and inside seating for 180 people, along with a private dining room. Accordion doors are open from the bar to al fresco dining for 100 on the patio, commemorating Atlanta’s mild weather all year.

Botica debuted in south Buckhead in January 2021 and quickly gained acclaim, along with the Buckhead Business Association’s certification as a “Best New Business.” 

Chef Alboumeh was born in Lebanon and raised in Italy and Spain. More than 20 years ago, he began his gastronomy profession in Mexican restaurants, such as more than a couple of years as owner and chef of Red Pepper Taqueria. Botica in Atlanta has an outdoor patio that can seat up to a hundred people.

How is the food at Botica?

If you like good Mexican food, this is the place to go, and you’ll return the favour and full. The grilled shrimp tacos are scrumptious, and the kale slaw is a nice surprise. The steak fajita skillet, which comes with tacos, rice, vegetables, and your choice of toppings Enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos, wild salmon, and a prime burger are among the other bigger plates.  Botica in Atlanta has a good selection of solid mixed cocktail drinks, and there isn’t a bad one to order. The Aperol spritz frozé is a strawberry-infused frozen champagne cocktail.

Given that Atlanta Chef Mimmo Alboumeh grew up in Lebanon, Italy, and Spain, it’s not surprising that his menus are a trip around the world. Chef Mimmo is now inviting diners on a culinary journey inspired by two of his favourite countries: Mexico and Spain.

Chef Mimmo’s latest project is Botica in Atlanta, the famous local chef and restauranteur known for his famous eatery Red Pepper Taqueria. A big part of the menu is dedicated to street-style tacos, such as a brunch taco with potatoes, chorizo, eggs and salsa, smoked beef barbacoa, crispy fish, and the Black beans Fritter taco with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and  yoghurt sauce. The appetiser menu is diverse, with options ranging from chips and salsa and nachos to Spanish octopus and grilled oysters.

Another specialty is Botica Crafted Cocktails to-go. The tequila in this to-go cocktail is 3 oz. It is recommended to shake the bottle before serving over ice. Per entry, two cocktails are permitted. Mocktails are available for all of the cocktails.
