Adalina Chicago | Food, Drinks, Inside Views & More

Adalina Chicago has the kind of glitz and glamor one would expect from a Gold Coast eatery, down to the exquisite cuisine, unique table settings, and friendly, professional service. Adalina, for all its flash and glamor, has a traditional Italian fare, showcasing and elevating dishes from each of Italy’s regions and setting a new standard for service from the time you enter to the moment you leave.

Adalina’s supper menu is stacked with delicious alternatives. However, if you’re willing to let your server make the call, that’s what we advocate.

Adalina Chicago

Adalina Chicago

Adalina is a high-profile Italian restaurant in River North, Illinois, not far from the posh restaurants and stores that line Rush Street. It has an impressive reputation, with its Michelin-starred chef (Soo Ahn) and its history of owning successful nightclubs and steakhouses in the area. And if you want a vibrant atmosphere while eating, Adalina Chicago may be the place for you; else, you’re in for a harsh shock.

The atmosphere is a little like a posh club where most of the patrons are indulging in a pasta binge. The second floor dining space is adorned with tables set among a glittering chandelier and vintage mirrors.

The menu has several traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist, such as fresh seafood, steaks, salads, and homemade pasta. Traditional pastas and meats were our favorites, but dishes loaded with truffles and ‘nduja were overkill.

The extensive wine list is full of expensive wines that seem to be intended towards guests who are using all of their credit at the restaurant. But fear not, since there are equally cheaper choices to enjoy by the glass.

Adalina Chicago – A Closer Look

The atmosphere at Adalina features dim lighting, antique mirrors in various colors, brass accents, soft velvets, leathers, and floral patterns. The floor-to-ceiling wine cellar boasts space for 3,000 bottles and a decanting station, and is greeted by a larger-than-life painting and a dramatic stairway.

A handcrafted Italian chandelier with 150,000 crystals hangs over the main dining area and the decanting station. The venue will alter during the day shifting from a bright, breezy brunch setting to a darker, more elegant night.

The bar at Adalina in Chicago is open from 3pm to 1am every day of the week, with happy hour running from 3 pm to 5 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, you may have a delicious brunch.
